How is my study plan built?
Updated
Your study plan gives you daily practice on the skills where you can gain the most, then fits that work to the study days, daily questions and SAT date you set. Your next few study days are always planned, and your plan adjusts as you improve.
What goes into your plan
- Your weak skills get the most practice, so your time goes where it can help your score most.
- Questions match your level, so sessions stay hard enough to move you forward.
- Review Labs bring back questions you missed. See What is a Review Lab?
- Math lessons appear when they can help with mistakes you've been making.
- Practice tests appear as often as you choose in your settings. See How do Aniko practice tests work?
Change your plan
Your plan follows the target score, test date, focus, study days and practice tests you set in Study Plan Settings, on the Study Plan page. Saving a change to anything but your target score rebuilds your plan from today, and your plan completion starts again at 0%. For each setting and what saving does, including during the Lock-In Challenge, see Change your study plan settings.
Tasks you don't finish
A plan task you don't finish on its day stays in your plan. You can still do it for about 2 weeks, and it still counts toward your plan completion. After that it's archived: it turns grey, shows "Outdated" when you hover over it, and can't be opened. Saving new settings or resetting your plan archives sooner, for tasks you haven't started from more than 2 days ago. Any work you did in an archived task stays saved.
If you've fallen far behind, Reset study plan in your settings restarts your progress from today. See Missed a study day, or need a lighter one?
Frequently asked questions
No. They sit next to your plan, but they don't count toward plan completion or the Lock-In Challenge. The same goes for tasks the AI tutor or a human tutor adds. One exception: on a challenge full-test day, a full practice test you start yourself and finish counts toward the challenge, but not toward plan completion.
Days that are already planned change only when you change your settings, join the Lock-In Challenge, or move or delete their tasks and Aniko fills the gap. Later days fill in as they get closer, so your latest work shapes them.
