How is study plan completion counted?

Updated

Plan completion shows how much of your whole study plan you've done, from the day your plan started until your test day. It grows as you work through the plan, so it's normal to be below 100% before test day. Halfway through your plan, about 50% means you're on track.

Where you see it

  • Under your score estimate on Home, as the Study plan bar. The dashed line marks 90%. The bar appears once your score prediction is unlocked.
  • In the Guarantee checklist in Study Plan Settings, as "Complete 90% of your study plan".

What counts

  • Questions you answer in study sessions, Review Labs and short tests that your study plan schedules, including ones you finish after their day.
  • Full practice tests your plan schedules, once you finish them.

These don't count: tasks you, the AI tutor or a human tutor add, sessions and tests you start from the buttons on Home, lessons, vocab, Free Resources and Bluebook tests.

What it's measured against

Your completion compares your plan work with all the work your settings plan between the day your plan started and your test day.

Days you miss stay in that total, so each missed day lowers the most you can reach. Finishing the tasks you missed wins it back, as long as they haven't been archived. See Missed a study day, or need a lighter one?

When it starts again at 0%

Your completion starts again at 0% when you:

  • save a change to your study plan settings, other than your target score;
  • reset your study plan;
  • join the Lock-In Challenge, if joining changes your settings.

Your past work stays saved. From then on, completion measures your work from that day until your test date, so plan work you already did that day still counts.

The 90% for the Score Guarantee

The Score Guarantee needs at least 90% completion. Your completion is checked when your test day starts, at midnight in your time zone, so reach 90% by the end of the day before. After that, the checklist shows the result. See How does the Score Guarantee work?

If you can no longer reach 90% even by finishing every remaining task, Aniko shows Fallen behind? It happens under your score estimate while your Score Guarantee is shown. If finishing your unfinished tasks from the last 2 weeks can still get you to 90%, it suggests that. If not, it suggests a reset.

Frequently asked questions

Most likely, your plan still has days ahead: completion counts your whole plan up to test day, so it reaches its highest point at the end. It can also be lower if:

  • you missed tasks on earlier days;
  • your plan included lessons, which take time in your day but don't count toward completion;
  • you, the AI tutor or a human tutor added tasks to a day, which leaves less room for plan tasks, and added tasks don't count.

Yes. Reset study plan starts it again from today. A reset also drops the completion you've earned so far, so use it only when your plan can no longer reach 90%. See Change your study plan settings.

No. The challenge has its own daily minimum. See What counts toward my daily minimum?
