Read your practice test results
Updated
Your results open as soon as you finish a practice test, and they stay on Timeline so you can reopen them at any time. A full or half test gives you a Test Score from 400 to 1600, and a short test gives you your updated Current Score Estimate. You also get feedback, your accuracy and timing, and every question to review.
What your results show
From the top:
- accuracy, questions and seconds/q: your totals for the test.
- Feedback: a short review from the AI tutor of what went well, what cost you points and what to do next.
- Your score: Total, Math and Reading & Writing, with your Percentile, which shows how your score compares with recent SAT test takers. A full or half test with one section shows that section's score, from 200 to 800.
- Your domains: for a full or half test, each domain shows the Performance range you showed on this test, your accuracy (Acc) and the average difficulty of its questions (Diff). After a short test, you see how your mastery changed.
- Accuracy and timing: by section, by domain and by difficulty.
- Timing by question: one bar per question, with lines for too fast and too slow. Click a bar to open that question.
- Error log: every question you missed or left blank. Filter it by difficulty, domain or skill.
- Study plan priorities: your next tasks.
Diff runs from 0% if all the questions were Easy to 100% if all were Hard, so Diff: 67% means between Medium and Hard, on average. See Use Analytics to find your weak spots.
The arrows next to your score
- On a Test Score, they show how far your result is above or below your score estimate from before the test.
- On a short test's estimate, they show how much your estimate moved during the test.
Review each question
- From your results, click Previous to go to the last question, or click the question name at the bottom to jump to any question. Each one is marked ✓ or ✗.
- Read your answer, the correct answer, the explanation and the time you spent.
- To ask about a question, click Ask Aniko under the explanation, or type in the chat. The AI tutor sees the question you're on.
- On the last question, click Results to go back to your results. To leave, click Close on your results.
In a full test, the top of each question shows its module and difficulty, like "Math, Module 2 · Hard", so you can see which module 2 you got. Questions you left blank count as wrong.
Test Score vs score estimate
Your Test Score is what you scored in this one sitting. Your score estimate combines your work across all your sessions and tests. A test score is one day. Your estimate is your trend. Sleep, nerves and the questions you happen to get move one test far more than your estimate, so the two often differ.
Finishing a test updates your estimate too, and your first full or half test gives you one. See Score estimate, predicted score and guaranteed score.
Find past results
- Go to Timeline, under More in the top menu.
- Find the test, like Full Practice Test or Half Practice Test, with its sections and accuracy. Newest is first.
- Click it to open its results.
Your profile's Timeline tab lists them too.
What to do next
- Read the feedback first. It points to what cost you the most points.
- Review every miss, starting with Easy and Medium ones, the quickest points to win back.
- Start a Review Lab on the domain with the most misses. Mistakes from finished tests are part of your Review Labs. See What is a Review Lab?
- Check your timing. Long bars show where you got stuck.
