Aniko for parents
Updated
Aniko is an online SAT prep platform for students. It builds your teen a study plan up to their SAT date, gives them practice questions and practice tests, tracks a score estimate and has an AI tutor that explains questions. Parents don't need their own account: you follow along, pay and help with the Score Guarantee from your teen's account.
What Aniko does for your teen
- A study plan that schedules daily practice around their SAT date and adjusts as they improve.
- Study sessions of SAT-style questions, with hints and an explanation for every question.
- Practice tests that work like the digital SAT.
- A score estimate that updates as they study, next to any official SAT and Bluebook scores they add.
- An AI tutor that explains questions and helps plan their studying.

Who can use Aniko
Students must be at least 13. A student aged 13 to 17 can use Aniko only with a parent or legal guardian involved: you agree to the Terms of Service for them and supervise their use, and you're responsible for the account and any payments. That's section 3 of the Terms.
Follow along
There's no separate parent account or parent report. To see how your teen is doing, sit down together and open their account:
- Home shows their score estimate and today's tasks.
- Study Plan shows what's planned for each day and what they've finished.
- Analytics shows their strong and weak areas.
- Profile, in the top menu, sums up their progress, practice test results and achievements.
Aniko's emails, such as study reminders, go to the email address on your teen's account.
Note
Please don't answer questions on your teen's account. Their plan and score estimate come from their own answers, and the Score Guarantee terms require your teen to be the only person using the account.
Pay for your teen's plan
Subscribe on your teen's account, not on one of your own. A subscription belongs to the account it was bought on, so a plan bought on a separate parent account gives your teen nothing.
- On your teen's account, go to Settings > Subscription.
- If Plan already shows a paid plan or Sponsored, your teen has access, so you don't need to buy another one.
- If it shows Free, click Upgrade plan, choose a plan and pay at checkout.
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. To compare plans, see Aniko plans compared. To stop payments, see Cancel your subscription or free trial.
The Score Guarantee for under-18s
On Premium, Unfair Advantage and eligible sponsored access, the Score Guarantee backs your teen's study plan: if they meet its conditions and their official SAT score comes in below the guaranteed score Aniko shows, you can claim a refund or 12 months free. See How does the Score Guarantee work?. If your teen is under 18, you take part in 2 steps:
- Before test day, help your teen confirm their legal name exactly as it will appear on their College Board score report. It's the Confirm your name step in the guarantee checklist in Study Plan Settings.
- After scores come out, you email their official score report to hello@aniko.ai within 45 days of the test date. Study Plan Settings shows the last day.
Before a claim is approved, the Score Guarantee terms also ask you to verify your own identity and to confirm that your teen was the only person using the account. The terms are the full rules. See How does the Score Guarantee work?
