Work with a human tutor on Aniko

You connect with a human tutor on Aniko by redeeming an access code your tutor gives you. Once you're connected, your tutor can follow your progress, change your study plan settings and add tasks to your plan. Your tutor can't see your AI tutor chats.

Connect with your tutor

1. Get an access code from your tutor.
2. Redeem it from Settings. For the steps, see Redeem a code or invite a friend.
3. Aniko asks you to confirm. Click Confirm and connect.

Your tutor's code also gives you Sponsored access: no limits on questions, practice tests or AI tutor messages, with nothing to pay, while you're connected. If you have a paid plan or a free trial, the code won't go through. Email hello@aniko.ai first.

Your profile then shows Tutored by: with your tutor's name. You can work with more than one tutor, each through their own code.

What your tutor can see

• Your profile: your score estimate, analytics, practice test results, achievements, timeline and question collections.
• Your study plan and its settings, including your plan completion, predicted score and Score Guarantee checklist.
• Your finished work: study sessions, Review Labs and practice tests you've finished, with your answers.
• A summary of your activity: questions, accuracy, difficulty, score change, your weakest skill and when you were last active.

Your tutor can't see:

• Your AI tutor chats. See Who can see my chats with the AI tutor?
• Your email address, or the legal name you give for the Score Guarantee.
• Sessions and tests you haven't finished. They see the task on your plan but can't open it.

What your tutor can do

• Change your study plan settings: your target score, test date, focus, intensity and practice tests. Your tutor can't reset your plan.
• Add tasks: a study session, Review Lab, practice test, course lesson or a question collection your tutor made.
• Move or delete tasks you haven't started.

You'll see every change on your Study Plan. A settings change works as if you made it: a change other than your target score starts an updated plan, and your plan completion starts again at 0%. See Change your study plan settings.

Tasks from your tutor

A task your tutor adds shows their name next to the task type, like "Study Session · Ms. Rivera". It sits next to your plan, not in place of it.

Tasks your tutor adds don't count toward plan completion or the Lock-In Challenge. Plan completion counts only the tasks your plan schedules, so keep doing those too, especially if you're working toward the Score Guarantee. See How is study plan completion counted?

Stop working with a tutor

There's no button to end the connection yourself. Ask your tutor to remove you from their students, or email hello@aniko.ai.

When it ends:

• Your account, progress and history stay, including tasks your tutor added.
• Your tutor can no longer manage your plan or open your settings and finished work. Your profile keeps them under Tutored by:, with the dates you worked together.
• Your sponsored access from that tutor ends. If no other code or plan covers you, your account moves to the Free plan.

For tutors

Your Tutor Dashboard is under More in the top menu. It appears only on tutor accounts.

• Active students lists each student's questions, accuracy, difficulty, score, score change, test date, weakest skill and last activity, over 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or All time.
• Profile & study plan opens a student's profile and plan, where you can change their settings and add, move or delete tasks.
• Available access codes holds your codes. Click a code to copy it and send it to a student. They join your list as soon as they redeem it.
• Remove student ends a connection. The code they used stops working, and a new code takes its place.

You can't sign up as a tutor on your own, and access codes come from our team. To become a tutor on Aniko or get more codes, email hello@aniko.ai.
