Cancel your subscription or free trial
Updated
You can cancel a paid subscription or a free trial at any time in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, or until your trial ends, and you aren't charged again.
Cancel your subscription
- Go to Settings and find the Subscription card.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Choose a reason and click Continue.
- You may see a reminder about your Score Guarantee or an offer to stay before you confirm. To keep cancelling, click Cancel anyway, Continue anyway or Continue to cancel.
- Check the date your plan stays active until, then click Confirm.
Aniko confirms with "Subscription cancelled" and sends you an email with the date your plan ends. In Settings, Expires on shows the same date.
What happens after you cancel
- Your access stays until the end date. You keep your plan's full allowance until the end of the week or month you've paid for.
- You aren't charged again. Your subscription stops renewing.
- A free trial ends on its last day with no charge. Cancel before your trial ends and you're never charged.
- Cancelling doesn't refund the current period. If you forgot to cancel before a charge, see Can I get a refund?
Important
Your Score Guarantee needs your subscription to stay active until you submit a claim. If you cancel and your plan ends before you claim, you lose the guarantee. If you've taken your SAT and may claim, send your claim before you cancel. See How does the Score Guarantee work?
What you keep on the Free plan
When your end date passes, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: your progress, study plan, score estimate, practice test results and history all stay.
Your study plan keeps going within the Free plan's weekly allowance of 100 questions, 1 practice test and 10 AI tutor messages. If your plan asks for more than that, see Why did my study plan stop on the Free plan?
Change your mind
- Before your end date: go to Settings and click Renew subscription. Your subscription carries on and renews as before. Switching to another plan with Switch plan also keeps your subscription going.
- After it ends: go to Settings, click Upgrade plan and choose a plan. If you've had a free trial before, your new subscription starts with a payment.
If you pay for your child
A subscription belongs to the Aniko account it was bought on, usually your child's. To cancel, sign in to that account and follow the steps above, or ask your child to. Cancelling stops all future payments.
