Add an official SAT or Bluebook score

Updated

To add a score from the official SAT or a Bluebook practice test, go to Analytics > SAT scores and click Add SAT or Bluebook result. Your score appears on the chart next to your Aniko score estimate, so you can compare a real test with your progress.

It's there for comparison only. It doesn't change your score estimate, predicted score, guaranteed score or study plan.

Add a score

  1. Go to Analytics, in the top menu.
  2. Scroll down to SAT scores and click Add SAT or Bluebook result.
  3. Under Test type, choose Official SAT, or the Bluebook practice test you took, from Bluebook Test 4 to Bluebook Test 11.
  4. Under Date, pick the day you took the test.
  5. Enter your Math and Reading scores, each from 200 to 800. Reading is your Reading and Writing score. Total score adds them up for you.
  6. Click Add result.

Your score appears as a card under the chart, with the test, your total, your section scores and the date.

  • Scores are whole tens, as on the SAT: 650, not 655.
  • The date can be any day from January 1, 2020 to today.
  • You can add one score per test and date. If you've already added that test on that day, you'll see "A result for this test type and date already exists". Edit the one you added instead.

Once your SAT date has passed, Home may show an Add your score link, and our score release emails have one too. Both open this form with Official SAT and your test date filled in.

Edit or delete a score

On a computer, hover over the score's card to show its buttons. On a phone, they're always there.

  • Edit: click the pencil, fix the details and click Save changes.
  • Delete: click the trash icon, then Delete result. You can't undo this, but you can add the score again.

Where it shows

  • On the SAT scores chart, your scores appear as Official SAT or Bluebook next to your Aniko Estimate. Switch between Total Score, Math and Reading at the top.
  • On your profile, the Analytics tab shows your scores with the rest of your progress.
  • The AI tutor sees the scores you add, so you can ask how a test compares with your estimate. See What can the AI tutor do?

Note

Your profile is public. Anyone who opens it can see the scores you add, next to your nickname.

What it doesn't change

Adding, editing or deleting a score doesn't change your score estimate, your predicted or guaranteed score, or your study plan. Your estimate comes only from your work on Aniko, so it shows what you can do now. See Score estimate, predicted score and guaranteed score.

There's one exception. Until you have a score estimate, the score preview when you sign up and in Study Plan Settings starts from your latest added score.

Adding a score isn't a claim

Adding your official SAT score here doesn't file a Score Guarantee claim. To claim, you email your College Board score report to us. See How does the Score Guarantee work?

Frequently asked questions

Not on your chart. The AI tutor can't add scores to Analytics. It can use a score you type in that chat, and it may remember it for later chats, but it won't appear on your SAT scores chart or your profile. To add it there, use Add SAT or Bluebook result in Analytics.

No. Test type includes only the official SAT and Bluebook practice tests 4 to 11. You can still tell the AI tutor your PSAT score, so it can take it into account when you chat.

Official and Bluebook scores sit next to your estimate for comparison, but they don't change it. For why the two often differ, see Is my score estimate accurate? Bluebook vs Aniko.
