Manage your account

Updated

Your account lives on the Settings page, under More in the top menu. From there you can change your email and nickname, choose which emails you get, set extended time, manage your subscription and privacy, log out or delete your account. Your profile picture is on your profile.

Change your email

  1. In Settings, go to Change email, type your new address and click Send confirmation.
  2. Open the confirmation emails we send to your old and your new address, and click the link in both.

Once you've confirmed both, you log in with the new address. The change finishes only when both links are clicked.

Nickname and profile picture

Your Nickname is how Aniko addresses you and how other students see you. Type a new one and click Save. It can be up to 40 characters of letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, underscores and apostrophes, with at least 1 letter, and no one else can be using it.

To change your picture, click Profile in the top menu, then Edit. You can upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image of up to 1 MB. Your profile is public, so we suggest a nickname and an avatar rather than your real name and photo.

Choose your emails

Email Preferences has a switch for each kind of email:

  • Updates and announcements: new features, tips and occasional product updates.
  • Study reminders: study and challenge reminders.
  • Study reports: progress summaries. It's marked Coming soon.

You always get essential emails, like login links and account security notifications.

Extended time

If you have College Board-approved extended time on the SAT, set it in Accessibility: Extended Time so your practice tests use realistic timing. Choose Standard time, 1.5× (time and a half) or 2× (double time). It saves as soon as you click, and you can change it when you start each test.

Subscription

Subscription shows your plan, its status, your next payment and the usage you have left. From there you can click Upgrade plan, Switch plan or Manage billing. To cancel, see Cancel your subscription or free trial. To compare plans, see Aniko plans compared.

Privacy choices

Aniko doesn't show ads. We do measure which of our own ads lead to sign-ups and purchases, using limited, pseudonymized information, and this is on by default. To turn it off:

  1. In Settings, go to Privacy choices and click Your Privacy Choices.
  2. Click Disable advertising measurement.

Your choice applies from then on. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Your study plan

Your SAT date, study days, focus and Score Guarantee steps are in Study Plan Settings. In Settings, click Open guarantee settings to get there. See Change your study plan settings.

Delete your account

  1. In Settings, go to Danger zone and click Delete my account.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. Click Yes, delete my account.

Deleting your account is immediate. If you have a paid subscription, it's cancelled right away, without a refund for the rest of the period. In the words of our Privacy Policy, "we delete all of your data, including your email, your pseudonymous study profile, your study history and progress, and any Score Guarantee identity and claim records, except where we are required to retain limited information to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes."

Important

Deleting your account is permanent. Nobody can recover your progress afterwards, including our team.

Frequently asked questions

You don't need to. Aniko uses the time zone of the device you study on and updates it on its own, so your study days start at your local midnight.

Go to Settings, find Logout and click Log out. It signs you out of Aniko on all your devices, not only the one you're using.

Each email address is a separate account, with its own progress and subscription. If you log in with Google and with email, use the same address for both. See Create an account and log in.

No. Answers, study sessions and practice tests can't be removed, by you or by our team, because your score estimate has to reflect all the work on your account. See Can I reset a practice test? Your own sessions and tests move your estimate on from there.

To lock the account again:

  • Check your email. Aniko has no password: each login needs a code sent to your email, or your Google account. If someone else can read that inbox or use that Google account, change your Aniko email to one only you use.
  • Log out. In Settings, Log out signs you out on all devices.
  • Fix your plan. If your study plan no longer fits, change it back or use Reset study plan. See Change your study plan settings.

If it affected your Score Guarantee or the Lock-In Challenge, email hello@aniko.ai with what happened and when.
